SPAR Scotland Tradeshow is a Sell out!

The most important trade event for those involved in the convenience industry in Scotland is returning to Aviemore on 22 September 2022 – and the exhibition area has sold out. 

The SPAR Scotland 2022 tradeshow is expected to be the best one to date as it returns to a physical event for the first time since 2019 due to the Covid pandemic – and organisers urge exhibitors taking part to book their accommodation before it is too late.

Paula Middleton, SPAR Scotland Marketing Manager, said: “We are delighted to receive so much support from our supply base and the exhibition space has already sold out. We are excited to be able to host a physical event again, with all the benefits and opportunities this provides.

“We are now urging all exhibitors to book their accommodation as Aviemore is a town with limited accommodation capacity.

“We have 180 suppliers exhibiting and we are expecting more than 700 delegates to attend the conference, tradeshow, awards ceremony and evening entertainment.”

Walkers is the headline sponsor. The Chillout zone sponsor is Coca Cola and Hovis, Graham’s the Family Dairy, Brewdog and AG Barr are the awards sponsors. During the morning conference, there will be three business updates ahead of the tradeshow officially opening at 11.00am.

Delegates will hear about the progress SPAR Scotland has made over the last 12 months including a briefing on CJ’s food-to-go brand, independent retailer recruitment and the company’s biggest company owned store investment programme to date plus lots more. 

“Our tradeshow will be a fantastic opportunity to get everyone under one roof and bring them up to speed on all that we have been working on. There will be Deals on the Day for independent retailers, a prize draw, food and drink sampling and of course there will be the inaugural SPAR Scotland awards to look forward too in the evening, closely followed by a food safari and dancing in a stretch tent! 

“Exhibitors will be displaying some of their newest products available in the market and latest technology innovations, and there will be excellent networking opportunities throughout the day,” said Middleton. 

“The return of the SPAR Scotland tradeshow makes it feel like a return to normal. The exhibition area is bigger than we have typically had in the past, so we are urging everyone looking to attend to register as a delegate as soon as possible to avoid missing out on what promises to be a very worthwhile event,” she added.
