SPAR Halbeath hosts Healthy Living Partnership and the Scottish FA

The store team at SPAR Halbeath recently hosted an in-store event with Healthy Living Partnership and the Scottish FA.  The event saw the staff from Healthy Living engage with pupils from Carnegie Primary School.    Healthy Living gave the school children a tour of the SPAR store highlighting all the healthy produce options within the store.  A football themed obstacle course was set up in the car park outside the store and children were able to take part in a bit of a warm up before tackling the course and testing their football skills!

Scotland Women’s National Team Players Rachel Boyle and Leah Eddie were present on the day.  The players discussed their healthy eating regime as well as helping the children navigate through the obstacle course.

“We were really excited to welcome both Healthy Living Partnership and the Scottish FA to our store in Halbeath recently.   We work closely with both these partners and it was great to be part of this event in store that allowed local school children to not only meet 2 of the Scotland Women’s National team players but also to hear some valuable information in terms of healthy eating and a healthy lifestyle.  I think we all enjoyed the obstacle course too with some budding footie skills witnessed on the day.”
